btrace utility provides an interface
to inspect the internals of the system and programs. It interprets the
program in file and communicates with the dynamic
tracer device using the interface described in
The options are as follows:
- Execute program.
- List all available probes.
- No action. Parse the program and then exit.
- Enable tracing on the indicated process ID (only one
-pflag is permitted).
- Verbose mode. Causes
btraceto print debugging messages. Multiple
-voptions increase the verbosity. The maximum is 2.
btrace utility exits 0 on
success, and >0 if an error occurs.
