() returns the verification mode currently set in ctx.

ssl(3), SSL_CTX_set_verify(3)

SSL_CTX_get_verify_mode(), SSL_get_verify_mode(), SSL_get_verify_callback(), and SSL_CTX_get_verify_callback() appeared before SSLeay 0.8 and have been available since OpenBSD 2.4.

SSL_CTX_get_verify_depth() and SSL_get_verify_depth() first appeared in OpenSSL 0.9.3 and have been available since OpenBSD 2.6.
